Shannon Palumbo
LCFSC Skating Director 

Shannon began her skating career in 1996 in St. Louis, MO. She joined Synchro St. Louis in 1997 and has been skating ever since!

In 2000, she moved with her family to Kansas City where she immediately joined Go Figure (currently KC Illusion). 

In 2007, she began coaching at Line Creek and has continued coaching for the past 13 years. She coaches individuals, moves in the field, freestyle, choreography, group lessons, and is a coach for KC Illusion synchro teams.

She moved into the role of LCFSC Director in 2016.

Ever since her first synchro competition at the age of three, Kameryn knew that Synchronized Skating was her passion! Kam's skating career began in Saint Louis, Missouri where she competed on the Saint Louis Synergy Synchronized Skating T eams from formation through the Junior level. Throughout her competitive career, she and her team earned the Midwestern Sectional silver and gold medals and two National bronze medals at the Intermediate level. Kam's team also earned bronze at the Junior level.

While skating synchro, Kameryn became a gold medalist in Moves in the Field, Ice Dance, and Solo Ice Dance. After earning her gold medal in Ice Dance, she continued to train and earned her International medal in Ice Dance. She had the honor of being the third athlete in the United States to pass the newest International Dance - The Finnstep. At age 16, Kam began to teach private lessons which sparked her love of coaching at a young age.

While pursuing her degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis - and after 16 synchro seasons, Kameryn made the transition from skating synchro to coaching. She coached many different synchro teams including the Saint Louis Synergy Junior team who represented the United States as Team USA for two seasons and were the US National silver medalists.

After graduating college, she moved to Kansas City to start her career as a Mechanical Engineer with Burns and McDonnell. Since her move in 2016, she has coached many KC Illusion Synchronized Skating teams really enjoys working with the talented skaters of the KC Metro area.
