KCMO Youth Lines

KCMomentum has 4 different synchronized skating youth teams of varying age ranges and skating levels. Auditions are held in May, and the season runs from August to April. We welcome new skaters to join our free "Try Synchro" events throughout the year.

House

Skills Needed: Forward skating, ability to skate independently, swizzles.

Aspire 1

Skills Needed: Forward stroking and pumps on time with music, backward pumps, one foot glides, beginning forward crossovers.

Aspire 2

Skills Needed: All Aspire 1 skills + chasses on time with music, 2-foot turns, backward 1-foot glides, forward lunge, speed and timing.

Aspire 3

Skills Needed: All Aspire 1 & 2 skills + forward/backward crossovers, forward edges, 3-turns, mohawks, spirals, bunny hops.

Preliminary

Skills Needed: All Aspire skills + strong stroking, cross strokes, power mohawks, spinnies, pivoting blocks, twizzles.

Additional Qualifications: Skaters must be under 13 years old.

Pre-Juvenile

Skills Needed: All Aspire skills + strong stroking, advanced cross strokes, spinnies, double 3s, pivoting blocks, and twizzles.
